Founded
in 2006, the Tahlequah Stingrays is the first United States Swim team
in Tahlaquah. We are proud to be associated with the Tahlequah Boys
and Girls club one of the few Native American Boys and Girls affiliates
in the United States.
Many of our swimmers have little or no previous swim experience. We
have a current roster of approximately 85 swimmers ranging in age from
4 to 19. They have many different ability levels, but they all have
one thing in common: They want to swim, and get better at it.
As head coach, my main goal is to give these kids an opportunity to
grow in all areas of their lives by providing a safe, structured, supportive
environment for them. All Swimmers on our team are expected to do their
best in practice as well as in meet, to set goals and to challenge their
bodies, and to set healthy lifestyles for their futures, and above all
to have fun.
